What is Quad?

What is trending quad? Quad is a strategic group of four major democratic countries America, India, Japan and Australia. The main focus is on the Indo-Pacific region. The main purpose of this group is to make Indo-Pacific independent, open and inclusive. The Quad was founded in 2007, when Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented his idea. It started with disaster relief collaboration during the 2004 hint of collaboration when the four countries helped together. Regular quadrilateral meetings, shared military exercises and intelligence information keep it an active platform. Quad countries have launched the ‘Quad Critical Minerals Initiative’ to ensure the offer of essential minerals. The purpose of this initiative is to combat China’s price control policy and pressure strategies. The quad also works on issues such as marine security, free trade, connectivity, cyber security, climate change and epidemic. India plays an important role in the quadrilateral. This group can work together to face Chinese aggression on India’s borders if needed. Australia initially distanced a distance from the quadrilateral under the pressure of China, but rejoined in 2010. The first formal meeting of Quad was held in the Philippines in 2017, after which the group became more active. Click here Life & Style Click for more stories Click here
