According to the cause list released on the Supreme Court website, the case will be heard by a Bank of Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi. Earlier, in the order passed on September 8, a bank led by Justice Suryakant made important remarks on the role of Aadhaar card. The court said that Aadhaar could be used as an identity card in terms of section 23 (4) of the Representation Act, 1950. The court gave clear instructions and said: “We instructed the election commission and its officials to accept the Aadhaar card as an identity voucher to add or remove the name in the voters list.” The court also said that Aadhaar would be considered a 12th document for identification and that the truth could be investigated like other documents. The Supreme Court has asked the Electoral Commission to issue instructions by September 9 how Aadhaar would be used as voter identity. In this case, the Electoral Commission recently made an affidavit in the Supreme Court to make clear how to amend the electoral list; It falls completely under the jurisdiction of the commission. The affidavit filed by Pawan Dewan, Secretary of the Commission, said: “According to Rule 25 of the election, 1960, it is complete at the discretion of the Electoral Commission whether it should be briefly review or intensive review.
