Ratnagiri, October 16 (IANS). Maharashtra Industries Minister and senior Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Uday Samant addressed the workers at a large gathering held in Ratnagiri. He praised the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and appealed to the workers to unite and strengthen the organization. Samant said in clear words whether there is an alliance or not, only saffron will wave. Addressing the workers’ conference, Uday Samant said, “No party will have such a big platform. Instead of sitting at home and criticizing Shinde Saheb, the workers should come to the field. Our leaders visit the district eight to ten times a year for us.” He praised the government’s contribution for the development of Ratnagiri and said that the Deputy Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 1,800 crore for the development of the area. He said, “Within a year, all the cities of the district will become smart cities. The bridge project between Guhagar-Jagad costing Rs 1,200 crore has also been approved.” Samant appealed to the workers to show loyalty to Shinde. He said, “Shinde sahib has given us a lot. Now we have to do something to strengthen the organization. The decision on ticket should be left to sahib.” On the ongoing talks regarding alliance, Samant said: “If there is an alliance then it is saffron, if it does not happen then it is also saffron. But it is necessary to have an alliance.” He ordered the workers to be prepared for the upcoming assembly elections and said, “We are fully prepared.
