Electoral Commission strikes Rahul Gandhi's 'Vote Chori' charges -'insult to Constitution,' says Cec Gyanesh Kumar

The India’s Electoral Commission on Sunday rebuked Rahul Gandhi over his ‘voice chori’ commitment, saying that the remarks of the congressional leader were nothing but an ‘insult’ to the Constitution of India. The remarks of the Electoral Commission came on a day when the parliamentary of Parliament (MP) Rahul Gandhi launched his 1,300 km-long ‘voter Adhikar Yatra’ of the poll-bound Bihar’s Sasaram to increase the opposition of India Bloc’s campaign against his’ votes. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of opposition (run) in Lok Sabha, was joined by his party head Mallikarjun Kharge and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. At a press conference on August 7, Rahul Gandhi claimed “Vote Chori (theft)” of 1,00,250 votes in a Karnataka constituency, with 11,965 duplicate voters in the segment, 40,009 voters with false and invalid addresses, 10,452 bulk voters or single-adress voters, 4,132 Invotte voters. 33,692 voters who abuse form 6 of new voters.
