Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh takes 11 year old accounts from Hong Kong and wins by 7 wickets
Abu Dhabi, September 11 (IANS). Bangladesh registered their first T20 international victory by defeating Hong Kong with seven wickets in the Asia Cup group match thanks to the brilliant half -century innings of Captain Litton Das (59 of 39 balls). The match was played in Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Bangladesh chased a target of 144 runs, with 14 balls left. The 95 -Run partnership for the third wicket between Litton and Tauheed Hridaya, 35, laid the foundation for the team’s victory. Litton’s limited turn and a strategy to raise runs at the right time held Bangladesh in a strong position. Earlier, the disciplined execution of the bowlers Hong Kong limited to 143/7. Bangladesh started with some attractive shots by Parvez Hussain Imon, but he was caught by Ayush Shukla. Tanjid Hasan couldn’t last long either. However, Hong Kong’s 11 Additional Run error brought Bangladesh to 51/2 in power play. After this, Litton and Hridayy maintained the running pace by turning the strike. Litton scored a continuous four and sixes in 14th place and completed his half -century in 33 balls. He showed an aggressive match against Ishaan Khan and Yasim Murtaza. However, Atik Iqbal bowled him for 59 runs, but by that time Bangladesh was very close to the victory.
