2 Dugong died in a row in Western Calimantan
Jakarta -Two cases of Dugong -Death took place in a row in Kendawangan Waters, Western Calimantan. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) by the Pontianak Coastal and Marine Resources Management Center (BPSPL) intervened to deal with two cases of this Dugong death. Dugong is included in the Appendix I -List I CITES and vulnerable status by IUCN. “The handling of Dugong stranded in a dead condition must be done immediately in ways in accordance with the procedure. The second Dugong was found dead around Cempedak Island. The Yiari medical team was performed by the Ketapang Webe Conservation Foundation by the Yiari Medical Team, and the carcass was again buried in the same place as the previous funeral.
