Who is sushila Karki? Who took over the command of Nepal's power

Nepal, September 12 (IANS). Nepal is going through the revolution these days due to the Jane Ji movement and protests. The situation became even more tense after the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Meanwhile, protesters chose the former chief justice of Nepal Sushila Karki as the interim prime minister. 73 -Year -old Sushila Karki was sworn in as the interim prime minister of Nepal late Friday night. Nepal president Ramchandra Paudel took him the oath of the prime minister. Sushila Karki was born on June 7, 1952 in Biratnagar, Nepal. He received his early training from here and in 1972 obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Birtnagar. He then turned to India and completed his postgraduate studies in political science at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1975. Karki has always been emotional about the association with India. She says her house is only 25 miles from the Indo-Nepal border. In childhood, she regularly went to the border market. In 1978, Sushila Karki completed Legal Studies at Tribhuvan University. The following year he started advocacy in Baratnagar. In 1985, she was also an assistant teacher to the Mahendra -plenty of campus in Dharan. The important turn of his career came in 2009 when he was appointed as a temporary judge in the Nepal High Court. A year later, in 2010, she became a permanent judge. His hard work, honesty and fearless image gave him a different identity in the judiciary. In 2016, she became the acting chief justice and took over as the first female Chief Justice of Nepal from July 11, 2016. This achievement was considered not only for them as historical, but also for the Nepal justice system. However, his tenure was not untouched by controversies. In April 2017, the then government brought a motion against him in parliament. He was accused of prejudice and intervention in the operation of the government. Once the proposal came, he was suspended from the post. But this incident further strengthened his image. The public raised its vote in support of the independence of the judiciary and the Supreme Court prevented the parliament of further action. Due to increasing pressure, Parliament had to withdraw the proposal in a few weeks. The entire episode has established Sushila Karki as a fearless judge who does not amount to the pressure of power. As Nepal goes through a deep political crisis today, Sushila Karki has been given the responsibility to deal with the country. -Ians Pim/DKP shares this story tags
