Why is the moon on the head of Shivji?

Why is Dharm Virajit Moon on Shiva’s head? Once we think of Lord Shiva, his unique form comes before our eyes. There are many things in the form of Shivji that make us think. One such thing is that the moon wears on the forehead. Have you ever thought, why does Lord Shiva carry a moon on his forehead? There are actually a few stories behind it, one of which is associated with the visit of the sea. When the poison came out of the sea, Lord Shiva drank him and protected the creation. Shiva’s body started to get very hot due to the effect of poison. All the gods were worried about it, so they worshiped Shiva to carry the moon on their head for coolness. In addition, there is another story associated with King Daksha. King Daksha’s 27 daughters were married to the moon. However, the moon was closest to Rohini. The rest of the girls complained to their father Raja Daksha on this matter. In anger, King Daksha cursed the moon of tuberculosis. The curse caused a lot of weakness to the moon, and Narada Muni asked him to pray to Lord Shiva so that Shiva could save him from this curse. Lord Shiva accepts the prayer of the moon and holds them on his head. It reduced their curse and became immortal. Likewise, the moon found a place on Shivji’s head.
