Bihar: Election Commission assesses preparations in Valmiki Nagar, West Champaran

Patna, May 18 (IANS). As part of his four -day visit before the Bihar election, India’s Electoral Commissioner, Vivek Joshi, held a review meeting in Valmiki Nagar on Sunday. During this time, focus on election preparations in the sensitive Indo-Nepal border area. The meeting attended the meeting, top officials of Sashastra Seema Ball (SSB), Forest Division and District Administration. During this time, the SSB introduced a detailed PowerPoint presentation, an explanation of monitoring operations and border safety measures to ensure independent and fair elections. He emphasized the importance of active participation of Booth Level agents of BLO, Electoral Registration Officers (Eros) and Assistant -eros at the Booth level. Joshi, who expressed satisfaction with the district’s election preparations, said that the voting percentage of the Western Champaran was more than the state average. He encouraged the local administration to start a creative and targeted voter contact initiative to further increase participation in voters.
