Why Trending Made Statue of Liberty? Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous freedom symbols in the world. The statue is located on the Liberty Island near New York Harbor and has a height of about 93 meters. In 1865, French historian Eduard de Labula presented the idea of this statue. French sculptor Frederick August Bartholdi designed it as a Roman Freedom Goddess ‘Libertas’. This statue was first prepared in France, and then sent to America in parts and added there. It was inaugurated in 1886. The Statue of Liberty has seven pointed thorns on the crown, representing seven continents and oceans in the world. Due to its height, this statue is hit by electricity about 600 times a year. The internal structure was designed by famous engineer Gustav Eiffel, who also created Eiffel Tower.
