At that time, the victim’s house was empty because the occupants had left to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. “This incident went viral on social media after CCTV footage was circulated on social media on Friday 17 October 2025,” he explained. The victim only found out about the incident on Tuesday (21/10) after returning from Umrah. Then the victim immediately reported the incident to the police. “The police immediately went to the crime scene (TCP). During the examination of witnesses, inconsistencies were found in the statement of the victim’s son-in-law, F,” he said. The police then questioned F further until he finally admitted his actions. F admitted that he took IDR 38 million in cash and gold necklace jewelry of 8 grams and a bracelet of 6.5 grams. “F also admitted that the male figure recorded in the CCTV video was his friend, only to trick him into making it look like the house was being attacked by thieves,” he said.
