Women get free health examination and treatment facility among 'healthy women, a strong family campaign'

Gandhinagar, September 18 (IANS). Mega medical and blood donation camps are organized across the country, including Gandhinagar in Gujarat among the ‘healthy women, a strong family Abhiyan’ who was introduced for the sake of Premier Narendra Modi’s birthday. These camps will continue until October 2. Under this special campaign, free health examinations and treatment facilities are provided by prioritizing women’s health. In Gandhinagar, small and large medical camps were arranged in primary health centers as well as different towns of the district. Special Health Test for women has been arranged in these camps. Special camps include different types of medical facilities, including general physical examination of cancer examination, graft examination, eye examination, mental health check. Dr Vaishnav, chief district health officer of Gandhinagar, informed that camps in health centers and units across the country are being organized under this campaign launched by Premier Modi. These camps have super specialty and specialty services available, including gynecology, pediatrics, graft, eye disease and dental experts. Screening and diagnosis of patients are done at primary health centers and urban PHCs. He said these camps are investigating non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, oral cancer, cervical cancer and breast cancer. In addition, use of anemia and treatment, ANC investigation for pregnant women, care during pregnancy, MCP card distribution and vaccination services for children. Neatness, menstrual hygiene and other health counseling are also given. He said that more than 100 people have used these services in OPD since the morning, in which diagnosis and free medicines were provided by experts. Deputy Health Officer, dr. Vishnu Joshi, said an extensive medical examination campaign for women in all health centers in the Gandhinagar district is being fed under ‘Healthy Women, Strong Family Campaign’.
