Women's Commission working on BJP's institution and NIA: TMC leader Sujoy Hazra
Kolkata, April 17 (IANS). The leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Sujoy Hazra, questioned the visit of a four -member investigative committee compiled by NCW to investigate the violence in Murshidabad, West Benales. Hazra said the women’s commission should have gone to Manipur first, where many women have been in horrific crimes such as rape and murder for the past one year. He said that an impartial investigation into the incident in Western Bengals is already underway and that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee clearly said that the culprits would not be spared at any cost. Sujoy Hazra also claimed that the Women’s Commission is working on the BJP’s institution and that his agenda is political. She said that the sudden statement of the Women’s Commission to West Bengale shows that it works on the appointment of a specific party. She said the women’s commission is working on political institution. He gets an adjustment from BJP. That’s why he talks about the visit to Western Bengals. I say that the Women’s Commission must first go to Manipur and Uttar Pradesh, see statistics, many women are raped and murdered daily in these two states. Hazra also said this is not the first time BJP’s influence agencies have been used against TMC. He reminded that the NIA, even after the great victory of the TMC in the 2021 election, showed activity in Bengal in the name of the investigation, but that he did not find anything. He claimed that institutions such as NIA and NCW no longer became neutral, but became the ‘team’ of the BJP, which is used to blaspheme and bring opposition parties. Sujoy Hazra has finally reiterated that the government of Western Bengals is committed to punishing the culprits and that every necessary step will be taken by law. -Ians PSM/CBT Share this story Tags
