Women's Hockey Asia Cup: China defeated India 1-4 in Super 4

Hangzhou, September 11 (IANS). The Indian women’s hockey team suffered a 1-4 defeat in their second Super 4 match against China at the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 in Hangzhou on Thursday. The only goal for India was able to score Mumtaz Khan (38th minute). The hosts scored goals for the hosts Ju Mirong (4th and 56th minutes), Chen Yang (31st minute) and Tan Jinjhuang (47th minute). The first quarter of the match was very exciting. Both teams took an aggressive attitude in the circle and made good opportunities. China scored the initial goals and put India under pressure. Joo Mirong recorded in the fourth minute. India has constantly made efforts to level, but has not succeeded. The Indian team could not take advantage of the penalty corner found in the 10th minute.
