World Boxing Championship: Menakshi, Jasmine, Nupur made a place in the final

Liverpool, September 13 (IANS). In the World Boxing Championship, women boxers raised the hope of gold medal for the country. Menakshi (women 48 kg), Jasmine Lamoria (women 57 kg) and Nupur (women 80 kg) won their semi -finals and reached the final. They increased the hope of the title in the final. Menakshi defeated Mongolia’s Altantesetseg Lutsekhan by 5: 0. Jasmine defeated Venezuela’s Omelin Carolina Alkala Segovia at 5: 0. Nupur at the same time gave a tough fight to Semama Dujtas of Türkiye. In the 48 kg semi -finals of women, oneakshi did not allow two -time Asian bronze medalist Latsaikhan to get in any of the three rounds of rhythm and won a unanimous decision by completely dominating it. The same situation remained the same in the other two semi -finals. Both Jasmine and Nupur never appeared under pressure during their matches. In the final Saturday night, Jasmine will face the Julia Ceremeta Olympic Silver Medalist in Paris, while Nupur faces another Polish boxer, a number of European championship medalist Kajmarska. Pooja Rani (80 kg) is also among those who won medals in the competition. Pooja plays the semi -final. In the 50kg category for men, Jadumani Singh Mandengbam would defeat the former world champion and two -time Asian champion Kazakhstan in the quarter -final. The 21 -year -old Indian, who played in his first world championship, gave his experienced competitor a difficult struggle, but could not escape the defeat.
