World Stroke Day: To avoid harm, understand in advance why this day is celebrated

New Delhi, October 16 (IANS). It cannot be said what will happen in life. Even a small incident that happens to someone can affect his whole life. Whether it’s physical injury on the road or mental trauma caused by abuse. It takes years to recover from the damage caused by mental trauma. To avoid such situations and to make people aware of these problems, World Stroke Day is celebrated. World Trauma Day will be celebrated across the world on Friday, the main objective of which is to support the trauma victims among the people, help them and emphasize on measures to avoid any traumatic event, physical and mental. Through this day, people are educated about how they can help other people to survive any kind of trauma. You will be surprised to know that worldwide at least 9 percent of people die before the age of 45 due to traumatic injuries. On this day, an awareness campaign is conducted among the people about what stroke is and what can be done to avoid it. To save anyone from trauma, the people around play an important role, who can help them out of that fateful situation. Along with this, more emphasis was placed on road accidents in the awareness campaign. People are affected both physically and mentally by road accidents. In such a situation, it is also necessary to reduce the number of accidents on the road. To avoid stroke, the right treatment at the right time is also important. Due to lack of awareness among people, people suffering from stroke have to face problems. To deal with all these situations, Trauma Day is celebrated all over the world. The first World Stroke Day was celebrated in Delhi in 2011 due to the increasing cases and deaths from road accidents in India. Its main purpose was to prevent road accidents. After India, this campaign got priority in different countries. Campaigns to prevent traumatic injuries are also conducted in many countries, including Bangladesh, Nigeria, Uganda, Algeria, Egypt, Vietnam. –IANS PS/ABM Share this story Tags
