Western Bengals: Calcutta High Court has stopped Kunal Ghosh for 3 months to comment on Mithun Chakraborty

Kolkata, September 24 (IANS). A single Bank of the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday refused to deliver any ‘public comment’ on the superstar and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty for the next three months in Western Bengals. A single Bank of Justice Arindam Mukherjee gave this assignment to Ghosh while hearing a defamation case of Rs 100 crore filed by Chakraborty against Ghosh. In the slander, Chakraborty accused Ghosh of making some public remarks that placed not only about him, but also about his family members. Chakraborty complained in his petition that his social image was also made by Ghosh by the derogatory remarks. On Wednesday, when the case was heard, Chakravarti lawyer argued in court that the publicly derivative remarks made by Ghosh not only damaged the social image of Chakravarti and his family members but also influenced his professional possibilities as an actor. After a detailed hearing in the case, the single bank instructed Ghosh to issue a notice in the case and also prevented him from making any ‘public comment’ on Chakraborty over the next three months. Recently, Ghosh made several public commentary in which he accused the superstar of alleged involvement in Chit Fund institutions. Ghosh targeted Chakraborty for changing the political camp. Chakraborty also accused the Secretary of State of the Trinamole Congress of making derogatory and false commentary on his son and woman. Initially, Chakraborty sent a legal notice to Ghosh. When no satisfactory response to the notice was received, he filed a defamation against him in the Calcutta High Court.
