Wukuf Pillars Hajj, all pilgrims will be taken to Arafat even while lying down

Makkah – Wukuf in Arafat is one of the pillars of the pilgrimage so that it should not be abandoned. The Hajje organizing officer (PPIH) said that all Indonesian pilgrims would be brought to Arafat for Wukuf, even in a state of laying and only Wukuf could be out of the ambulance. “The prophet Muhammad said that the Pilgrimage was Arafat. So this Arafat became the most important part of the entire series Hajj,” said Mustasyar Diny PPIH Saudi Arabia, KH Abdul Moqsith Ghazali, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Friday (5/23/2025). He said Wukuf should not be abandoned. PPIH has prepared different schemes so that all Indonesian pilgrims Wukuf in Arafat can be in 9 Zulhijah. Moqsith explains the Wukuf at Arafat from 9 Zulhijah after slipping the sun until dawn 10 Zulhijah. Moqsith says there is no compulsory reading or prayer during Wukuf. He said that Wukuf was enough to be done by silence as he prayed. He invited the pilgrims to pray solemnly and to ask for forgiveness of God. “During Wukuf, the pilgrims were quite quiet. The congregation just sat, prayed and asked Dhikr to Allah SWT. He asked everything needed by the congregation,” Moqsith said. “Arafat is a direct encounter between God and his servants. So pray as well as possible. Pray well for others,” he continued. He said the pilgrims who were about to start Ihram or the intention of the pilgrimage in their respective hotels. He also invited the pilgrims to retain his attitude and speech at Arafat. “Pray a good one for another, don’t beres and not do it. Because the prophet Muhammad said, not to reprimand the chicken, because he woke us up at dawn, let alone others. Also, do not do the goods to sell goods during Wukuf in Arafat,” Moqsith said. Congregations are also advised not to come out regularly. He said that the temperature in Arafat is warmer, so that the congregation is expected not to get out of the tent except to go toilet or other emergency matters.
