Beijing, October 18 (IANS). Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to David Adeong on October 17 on his re-election as President of the Republic of Nauru. Xi Jinping said that since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Nauru, bilateral relations have made remarkable progress and cooperation in various fields has brought benefits to the people of the two countries. I commend the government of Nauru, led by President David Adeong, for upholding the One China principle. I attach great importance to the development of China-Nauru relations and look forward to working with President David Adeong to take bilateral relations to new heights and bring greater benefits to the people of our two countries.
