Yamraj is worshiped in the Dharmaraja Temple of Tamil Nadu, Kamadadeva has given life here

Thanjavur, October 14 (IANS). In the Hindu religion, it is said that Yamraj is the God of righteousness and death who keeps an exposition of everyone’s actions. Yamraj is also called Dharamraj, but there are only a few places where Yamraj is worshiped. One such temple is located in Tamil Nadu. The temple of Dharmaraja located in the Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu in itself has historical and spiritual importance. It is believed that this temple is about a thousand years old. Here is a great statue of Lord Yama riding a buffalo. Over the years, a large number of dedicated from here and far to get Darshan and blessings from Lord Yama. It is believed that the seeker through the worship of Lord Yama in this temple gets freedom of the obstacles of untimely death. With this, all kinds of physical and mental problems and happiness, peace and prosperity in life disappear. The story related to the temple is also very interesting. It is described in Sanatan Shastras that Lord Shiva once it was in meditation. At the time, all the gods reached Kailash and saw Lord Shiva in meditation, they began to wonder when he would come from meditation. The gods suggested that Kamadadeva be sent so that Lord Shiva could be derived. Kamadadeva tried to break the meditation of Lord Shiva, but failed. Lord Shiva became angry and Kamadeva immediately burned to ashes. When Kamadadeva was burned to ashes, his female relationship became extremely sad. He prayed to Lord Yama to revive Kamadeva. Dharmaraja agreed to this request and obtained consent from Lord Shiva and revived Kamadadeva. Lord Shiva gave the blessing of life to Yamraj.
