More than 9 lakh rural issues highlighted in the women's dialogue program
As part of the women’s dialogue program, which began on April 18, more than 9.46 Lakh proposals were received from rural women across Bihar, in which important issues regarding their communities were discussed. To facilitate the effective prevention of these concerns, the Department of Rural Development has developed through women’s dialogue mobile application, which made it possible to have systematic intervention from town to state level. An assessment meeting was held on Wednesday chaired by Departmental Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh to assess the progress of the program and speed up the solution of issues. Secretary Singh emphasized that this program is useful for identifying the basic rural challenges, especially women who directly affect women. Most of the proposals are related to the needs of infrastructure, including roads, drainage system, educational facilities, drinking water schemes and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The purpose of the program is also to raise awareness among rural women over women empowerment initiatives. Proposals are offered by village organizations and are properly recorded by offices on the block level. Jeevika District Program Officer (DPO) does preliminary evaluation before sending the case to the relevant district magistrate for solution. Matters outside the jurisdiction of the district magistrate are sent to the relevant government departments for further action. The meeting was attended by the CEO of Jeevika, Himanshu Sharma and other departmental nodal officers, who emphasize the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the success of the program.
