The 100 meter sprint athlete Divyansh Kumar Raj is the first player from Bhagalpur to reach the Third Asian Youth Games in an international level competition. Before that, no player from Bihar got an opportunity in 100 meters race. Indian team player Divyansh Kumar Raj will also compete in the middle relay along with the 100 meters race. In international level competition, athlete Divyansh Kumar is the first player from Bhagalpur to reach the Third Asian Youth Games. Prior to that, no player from the state got an opportunity in 100 meter race. Indian team player Divyansh Kumar Raj will compete in the middle relay along with the 100 meters race. After this, Divyansh Kumar Raj will participate with the India team in the Third Asian Youth Games to be held in Bahrain from October 22 to 26. Will leave for Bahrain from New Delhi airport on 20th October. Divyansh’s father, a resident of Noorpur, Nathnagar, is an English teacher in Shahkund Upgraded Secondary School. His grandfather Ganesh Jha was also a teacher in a government school. With the inspiration of his grandfather, father and mother Archana Singh, Divyansh took up athletics. In the year 2019, coach Jitendra Mani joined Rakesh in Ashadeep Club. Where Rakesh prepared the players in the field and took them to the national level competition. Rakesh recognized Divyansh’s talent and made him a runner. After national level it was taken to international level within six years. Father Aditya told that he was at St. Joseph’s started practicing when he was studying in seventh grade. But due to the strict rules of the private school, the practice became hindered. After that he applied to St. Joseph’s withdrew and enrolled in a state school. Family members protested about this as to why the name of the private school was removed. Such a decision had to be taken about Divyansh’s future. Those who protested are praising Divyansh’s achievements. The coach also has a role in this. The District Athletic Association also feels proud about this achievement. All the officials of District Athletic Association Bhagalpur are very happy with his selection. Especially Athletic Association President Z Hasan and Secretary Nasar Alam congratulated for good performance. It is a matter of pride for Bhagalpur.
