Cloud Burst in the market, loss of 1500 crores in a month and more than 50 deaths; Jairam Thakur visited the place

Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh faces a terrible hit of natural disasters. Over the past one month, many incidents of Cloudburst in the district have come to light, in which more than 50 people have died and more than Rs 1500 crore has been lost. On Monday night, clouds broke out again in the Mandi City jail, which saw a new scene of destruction. Three people were killed in the incident, including a woman, her son and brother -in -law, while the woman’s husband was seriously injured. The body of a woman from the dead was found in the debris between the vehicles buried in the rubble, which were taken out after hard work. In the accident, it is feared that many vehicles are buried in the rubble, while about 50 vehicles are damaged. In light of the severity of the disaster, all educational institutions in Mandi Sadar region were ordered to be closed on Tuesday. Relief and rescue operations continue and many people trapped in the debris have been taken out by breaking the windows. Former opposition minister and leader of the opposition, Jairam Thakur, visited the scene on Tuesday and in a conversation with the media described the incident as extremely painful and worrying. He said: “We were not even upset about the tragedy of the Saraj region that there was again loss of life as a result of Cloudburst in the Mandi City prison sentence. People are now forced to leave their jobs and run away to save their lives.” Jairam Thakur demanded the state government to release immediate relief, compensation to those involved and make arrangements for rehabilitation. He also said that the administration should take the warnings of the meteorological department seriously. Local people live in an atmosphere of fear and are now starting to fear the new disaster with every rain.
