Youtuber and his son were arrested for raping a minor in Basirhat, Bengal

Kolkata, October 12 (IANS). A YouTuber and his minor son were arrested for allegedly raping an underage girl, police said on Sunday. He is accused of blackmailing her by taking her personal photos in the name of offensive videos and roles on social media. The father of the victim is an officer in Kolkata police. This incident occurred in the Haroa police station in Basirhat in the North24 Parganas district in the Western Bengal. Based on the complaint of the minor girl, the accused YouTuber and his minor son were arrested on Sunday. According to police, the YouTuber lives in the Haroa police station. The policeman and the minor girl also live in the same area. The YouTuber and his minor son allegedly called the girl a few months ago in the name of videos and roles. The girl was also taken to different places on the pretext of making videos on social media. Since the girl’s family was neighbors of the accused YouTuber and his son, they did not object to the case. Along with making the video, however, some offensive photos and videos of the girl were taken without her consent. Later, the accused YouTuber and his son began to blackmail the minor girl by showing her private photos and videos. A senior police officer Basirhat said the accused and his minor son raped the girl according to the complaint after extorting her. They threatened that if she told someone, they would make the photos and videos on social media. The minor girl remained silent, so she was raped several times. The girl told her family on Friday. Police began the investigation on the basis of his complaint. Father and Son were arrested. The girl’s family filed a written complaint against the alleged accused father and son at the Haroa police station. On Sunday morning, the Youtuber and his minor son were arrested.
