On Tuesday, Vikas Gupta, commissioner and secretary of the Department of Local Bodies, held a meeting with RWA representatives, Balka West Janarert, Fixed Waste Management Agency, Corporations and other Gurugram stakeholders. The meeting discussed extensively on the draft Sub-Rules-2025 of Fixed Waste Management and the stakeholders gave their proposals to make Gurugram a clean, beautiful and better city. Mayor Rajrani Malhotra asked stakeholders to work together to make Gurugram a clean and better city. In the zero-West city meeting, Vikas Gupta said the purpose of the concept of waste management Sub-Rules-2010 is to make the waste management system scientific, transparent and durable in the city. With its implementation, the separation, processing and recycling of waste will be promoted and the role of citizens becomes even more important to make cities clean and environmentally friendly. The state government intends that all the urban bodies of Haryana should adopt this model and move to the purpose of ‘Zero West City’ in the coming time. Municipal corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said the concept for fixed waste management drawn up by the Municipal Corporation Gurugram will work to give a new direction to the city’s cleanliness system. The cleaning fee must be deposited for the event, the additional corporation commissioner Yash Jaluka said that all citizens and institutions in the sub-rules would have to separate the waste generated at their home, office or commercial place. This includes wet waste, dry waste, domestic harmful waste. Apart from this, C&D West, horticultural waste and bio -medical waste, plastic waste must also be separated and disposed of according to the prescribed rules according to the requirement. Institutions, societies, hotels, offices or residential complexes that receive a large amount of wet garbage daily must be disposed of by composting or biogas plant in the premises itself. If it is not possible on the website, it will be mandatory to get previously permission from the corporation. More than 100 people will also have to submit information and cleaning fees for an event. Drought-wet garbage will rise separately. Municipal corporation Gurugram will ensure throughout through collection daily and only separated waste will be picked up. Vehicles will have different parts of waste and will be GPS capability. All vehicles will be characterized by MCG and Swachh Bharat Mission People. Small vehicles and appropriate routes will be corrected for now streets. Secondary collection centers and MRF units are erected at selected sites in the city. Where waste separation, recycling and compost is done. CCTV cameras will be mandatory at these centers and the footage must be kept safe for 30 days. Fines will be imposed on violating rules according to sub -laces, the distribution or combustion of garbage on the road or public place is strictly limited. The garbage in drains, rivers or open plots is fined. Pets will clean the stools of their animal on their own. Organizers and shop owners must ensure cleanliness around them. Every home, store, institute and commercial unit will have to pay regular user fees. The fee will be determined. There will be a five percent increase each year. There will be exemption when payment of advance. The outstanding amount can be charged as overdue property taxes. Fines and other legal action will be taken over violating rules. Strict steps will be taken at the dumping of illegal waste, burned or waste without separation.
