Google appears to be fast-tracking its mid-range smartphone lineup, with the Pixel 10a now rumoured to arrive far earlier than expected. Looking back, Pixel 9a was released in March 2025 but didn’t go on sale until April, and both Pixel 8a and 7a were launched in May.

But this time, if leaks are accurate, the next A-series Pixel could hit shelves as soon as February.

According to reliable tipster Roland Quandt of WinFuture, Google may unveil the Pixel 10a in early February, with sales expected to begin by mid-month. In a post on BlueSky, Quandt hinted that Google’s next mid-range phone would be available well ahead of schedule, marking the earliest A-series launch to date.

Another report from Droid-Life narrows the date down further, suggesting a February 17, launch.

Google Pixel 10a: What to expect

One of the biggest changes this year seems to be personalisation. Quandt’s leak claims that the Pixel 10a will launch in four colour options: Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and a innovative shade dubbed Berry.

The device is expected come in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB.

Visually, the Pixel 10a is speculated to stay close to the Pixel 9a, featuring a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will likely pack 8GB of RAM and a 5,100 mAh battery.  

On the camera front, Google is likely to stick to its proven dual-lens setup: a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide, and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. These specifications suggest that while Google isn’t overhauling the Pixel 10a’s hardware, it’s doubling down on the refined photography experience that has made the Pixel A-series so popular.

Multiple reports indicate that the Pixel 10a will continue using the Tensor G4 chip, the same silicon found in last year’s Pixel 9a, rather than the newer Tensor G5 featured in the flagship Pixel 10 series.
