The next iPhone is already making waves long before launch. A fresh iPhone 18 Pro leak has set the Apple rumour mill spinning again, thanks to a detailed video from well-known tipster Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech.
The leak teases one of Apple’s boldest design overhauls in years, complete with a sleeker front camera, a next-generation A20 Pro chip, and a potentially game-changing variable aperture camera. Before we delve deeper into the iPhone 18 Pro specs and features, here is the expected launch timeline.

iPhone 18 Pro: Launch date (expected)
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to arrive in September 2026. This sits perfectly with the previous trends of iPhone launches. For several years, Apple has been showing off its innovative hardware inventions every September. Hence, it is safe to expect that this year will not be different.
However, there is another rumour in the air. In 2026, Apple will unveil its first foldable and will skip launching the base variant of iPhone 18.

This raises question on to when will the base variant debut and will the other devices still follow the same timeline? So, till Apple notifies the same, we suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt.
iPhone 18 specs: What to expect
Apple might finally be giving the iPhone’s front display its biggest refresh since the Dynamic Island first appeared. According to the leak, some Face ID components will move under the screen, allowing Apple to shrink the front cutout to a single camera hole.
In a surprising twist, the selfie camera is reportedly moving from the centre to the top-left corner of the display. But don’t panic, the Dynamic Island isn’t going anywhere.
Instead, it’s reported to reposition itself around the relocated camera, maintaining its signature functionality while taking up less space and blending more naturally into the interface.

The effect could be a cleaner, more symmetrical look, and one that subtly distinguishes the iPhone 18 Pro from its predecessors. Apple is known for tiny design tweaks that make a substantial visual impact, and this shift could be one of those “only Apple” touches that fans obsess over.
Around the back, the biggest visual upgrade may come from a recent variable aperture system in the main camera. Unlike the fixed lenses in current iPhones, this setup would allow the lens itself to adjust light intake, resulting in sharper portraits and stronger low-light performance. However, Prosser’s leak suggests this feature could be exclusive to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple’s larger flagship.

Inside, Apple is reportedly going all-in on performance. The iPhone 18 Pro series will likely run on the A20 Pro chip, rumoured to be built using TSMC’s cutting-edge 2nm process.
Apple is also mentioned to be integrating RAM directly into the chip, a first for the company.
The leak also mentions a modern Apple C2 modem, signalling the company’s ongoing push to cut ties with third-party chip suppliers. If accurate, this would make the iPhone 18 Pro one of Apple’s first devices to feature an entirely in-house modem.
The display will reportedly stick to a familiar 6.3-inch size, while the Pro Max could pack a 5,100mAh battery, the largest ever in an iPhone.
The leak also hints at Apple shaking up its Pro colour palette. Instead of the usual greys and silvers, this year’s iPhones could come in burgundy, brown, and purple, offering a more expressive, fashion-forward feel to the premium range.
