Truck drives into crowd at anti-Iran regime protest in Los Angeles, two injured – Firstpost
At least two people were injured on Sunday when a U-Haul truck drove into a crowd of demonstrators during an anti-Iranian regime protest in Westwood, Los Angeles. The incident took place outside the Wilshire Federal Building, where thousands had gathered for a rally organised in support of ongoing protests in Iran, scheduled to begin at 2 pm local time.
The demonstration drew large numbers of participants backing protests in Iran that US-based activists say have resulted in more than hundreds of deaths during violent crackdowns. The gathering was one of several events organised to show international solidarity with protesters inside the country.

Political message displayed on vehicle
The truck involved in the incident carried political messaging linked to Iran’s history. A slogan painted on its side read, “No shah, no regime. USA: Don’t repeat 1953, no mullah,” referring to the US-backed 1953 coup that overthrew Iran’s then prime minister and restored the shah to power.
According to local media, police removed a man from the U-Haul truck and appeared to place him into custody at the scene. As officers escorted him away, several protesters attempted to strike him, including with flagpoles, before police intervened to restore order.
