Blaine has always dreamed of putting the bow of Tangaroa into a waterfall—but finding the right one isn’t easy!

In this adventure, we leave Turnbull Cove in thick fog, cruise through the charming (but closed for winter) Sullivan Bay, and head deep into the Broughton Archipelago in search of the perfect waterfall.

Lacey Falls looks promising, but the water levels aren’t quite right. That doesn’t stop Blaine from giving it a shot!

Along the way, we pass towering cliffs, remote inlets, and even spot some winter wildlife. Our journey continues into Viner Sound, which was home to two First Nations village sites and a wintering flock of Trumpeter Swans. Exploring British Columbia’s wild coast in January is always an adventure, and we never know what we’ll find.

Join us as we navigate through stunning, off-the-beaten-path locations that most boaters never see. If you love remote cruising, untamed wilderness, and a bit of boating suspense, this one’s for you!
