Drug Inspector Ashok Kumar, after seeing the complaint in Bangarmau Police Station, said that a letter was received on October 13 from Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Administration, Lucknow, according to which Assistant Commissioner Drugs Lucknow Division and Drug Inspector District Raebareli Shivendra Pratap Singh were asked to verify the accounts of sale of codex syrup/health syrup to the district doctor Ambarelin. The drug inspector said that the owner found at the spot admitted that he bought this medicine from Rae Bareli district. The owner of the firm was given three days to submit all the records. But he could not show any account or record till October 30. On Friday, the drug inspector, on the instructions of the Commissioner, filed a case against Ajay Kumar, the director of Ambika Health Care, for not producing the records. Kotwal Chandrakant Singh said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the drug inspector. Investigation is being done. The drug inspector said the place where this firm made sales will be investigated. It appears that these medicines were sold to drug users.
