Suddenly vehicles come in front of the vehicle due to illegal crossing leading to accidents. What steps are taken for this? Answer: Wherever illegal cuts are made, they are asked to stop them by PWD. The traffic police keep an eye on these illegal cuts all the time because there is a danger of accidents due to these illegal cuts. Question: Jugaad vehicles are overloaded and this also increases accidents. What is being done about this? Answer: A special drive is conducted against Jugaad vehicles and overloaded vehicle drivers. Traffic policemen are constantly impounding such vehicles. For this, trips are carried out every day. Question: There is no zebra crossing in many places, traffic signals are also poor, this also creates problems. What is the solution to this? How many places are there where signals have been newly installed or repaired? Answer: Wherever traffic signals are found faulty, a WhatsApp group called ‘Signal Group’ has been formed, in which all the traffic inspectors are connected. As soon as information about a traffic signal malfunction is sent to the group, it is immediately corrected by the engineer. Apart from this, recording of timing of signals is also done from the traffic headquarters in Todapur. Answer: With the increase in fog, power vests, light bars and shoulder lights are being fitted to the police personnel deployed on the roads, so that the drivers will not face any problem in case of reduced visibility. Lighting has also been arranged on the barricades and forced painting is done on the roads. At the same time, traffic policemen conduct campaigns in schools, colleges and roads from time to time to make people aware. Question: There are still black spots and dark spots in many places. How will it be resolved? Answer: This is being worked on together with all the agencies from this month. So far, 62 hotspots have been selected. Question: There are severe traffic jams in many places. Just look at the ITO red light, it’s the busiest intersection. Apart from this there are many places. What is their solution? In such a situation, evening signals are switched off on heavily congested routes and operated in manual mode. Apart from this, the deployment of more policemen on jammed routes is being increased.

This facility is currently available to the families of deceased Aadhaar card holders in 25 states and union territories using the civil registration system. They can use MyAadhaar portal for this. In addition, the integration process with the portal for the remaining states/UTs is currently underway. The ministry says after the deceased Aadhaar cardholder authenticates himself, he will have to submit the Aadhaar number, death registration number and demographic details of the deceased on the portal. Further steps will be taken on the process of deactivating the Aadhaar number of the deceased after due process of verification of the information provided by the family member. UIDAI encourages Aadhaar card holders to report the death of any Aadhaar card holder member of their family on the MyAadhaar portal.
