The value of recovered heroin is said to be Rs 1.5 crore. The gang’s roots spread from Barabanki to Lucknow. The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) is now investigating the entire network. Remove Advertisement Read Only News ANTF Gorakhpur unit received information that the gang supplying heroin is going to Lucknow with the shipment from Barabanki. Acting on information, three smugglers were nabbed in Gomtinagar area near Viraj Tower in Vibhuti Khand area on Sunday evening. The accused have been identified as Mohd., resident of Tikra Usma, Jaitpur, Barabanki. Anas was born to Nasir Ali and Arsalan, a resident of Tikaniya Mau in Gosaiganj, Lucknow. The team recovered Ertiga car, four mobile phones and Rs 8,900 cash from their possession. ANTF officials said that the smugglers were under surveillance for several days. As soon as the input was received, the team surrounded and arrested him. The smugglers admitted during interrogation that they have been supplying heroin on the Barabanki-Lucknow route for a long time and have made the deliveries several times through this Ertiga car. The team seized the mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Vibhuti Khand police station.
