Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) in the Banten area. A number of people were arrested, one of whom was a prosecutor. The OTT was carried out by the KPK on Wednesday afternoon (17/12/2025). Initially, five people were arrested by the KPK, but based on development results, additional people were arrested. KPK spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, explained that the arrested parties are still being interrogated intensively. The Corruption Eradication Commission has 1 x 24 hours to announce the status of the parties arrested. One of them was arrested by a prosecutor. “The one is a law enforcement officer,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said. The other eight people arrested consisted of two legal advisers and six private parties. The nine people were arrested in the Banten and Jakarta areas. “The team arrested nine people in the Banten and Jakarta areas,” he said. Details of this OTT case cannot yet be provided. “Regarding the details of the construction of the case, we cannot provide information at this time because the exposure (case title) is still being carried out,” he said. The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) seized in Banten and Jakarta and did not explain the chronology of the OTT of nine people, including prosecutors. They were arrested in Banten and Jakarta. “The team arrested nine people in the Banten and Jakarta areas,” Budi said. The KPK is still investigating the nine people who were arrested. A total of nine people were arrested. “The team also obtained evidence, an amount of money in cash, about Rp. 900 million,” said Budi. The KPK coordinates with the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) regarding the OTT. “There was indeed coordination with the office of the attorney general, we will see the results later,” said Fitroh Rohcahyanto, vice-chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission. Coordination was carried out because there were prosecutors caught in the OTT net.
