Jakarta – Minister of Creative Economy (Ekraf) Teuku Riefky Harsya inspects flood locations in Aceh. Riefky accepts residents’ aspirations regarding sanitation and clean water, which are still minimal. Riefky arrived in Tanah Rencong on Tuesday (9/12/2025) morning. The visit then continued to Pidie Jaya and Bireuen Regencies. In this area, Riefky visited residents’ homes that were affected by the flood. Riefky said the journey was not easy this time, especially when the group arrived in an area with cut off access. “Earlier seven o’clock in the evening WIB we crossed by boat because road access was completely cut off. There is no other choice because tomorrow morning at 04.00 WIB we have to move from Lhokseumawe to Aceh Tamiang,” Riefky said in his statement on Wednesday (10/12/2025). During the trip, Riefky said, he acknowledged receiving various inputs from local government and the community. According to him, many aspirations have been expressed about the urgent needs in refugee camps. “They expressed their aspirations regarding sanitation, clean water, cleanliness, as well as equipment to clean mud from residents’ houses,” he said. Riefky said the central government will take follow-up action so that these needs can be met immediately. Riefky will also coordinate with Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Minister for Infrastructure, coordinate regarding affected infrastructure in Aceh. Riefky is concerned about the state of Aceh due to floods and landslides. He reiterated the government’s commitment to immediately repair emergency routes and bridges so that mobility returns to normal. “We are very concerned about the situation. But we know that the regional government is trying to connect alternative bridges so that people’s mobility can be restored,” said Riefky. Riefky emphasized that this field inspection was directed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. He assured that the government was present to listen and help the people affected by the disaster in Sumatra. “This is all in line with the president’s directive to continue to watch, listen and help people affected by disasters, especially in Aceh,” he concluded.
