The bank has given a time of 4 hours for system upgrade and technical maintenance, during which all UPI services will remain completely shut down. In such a situation, if you have an emergency payment plan, then record its timing in advance, otherwise the transaction may get stuck in the middle. When will UPI service be closed? HDFC Bank said that early morning system maintenance will be done on 13 December 2025 and 21 December 2025. During this period, UPI services will remain closed. All payments and transactions related to UPI will be stopped on December 13, 2025 from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM and on December 21, 2025 from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM. What services will be affected? These services will not be available during the maintenance period. UPI payments from HDFC Bank savings and current accounts UPI payments made using RuPay credit cards issued by HDFC Bank UPI transactions through HDFC mobile banking apps Third-party UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm whose bank partner is HDFC UPI collection or settlement from merchants linked to HDFC Bank accounts. What else? To save customers from hassles, the bank has advised them to use PayZapp wallet during these hours. The bank said that during the maintenance, PayZapp services will continue to operate normally, so payments and transfers can be made without any interruption. Why is maintenance important?
