Jakarta – PT PLN (Persero) has succeeded in gradually restoring Aceh’s electricity system after it was reconnected to Sumatra’s major system. With the connection of this system, the electricity supply in Banda Aceh City has now been restored and is bright again. This effort is a follow-up to the directive of President Prabowo Subianto and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia to accelerate the restoration of electricity services in order to maintain community activities and the stability of public services. Darmawan Prasodjo, president of PLN, said that the success in stabilizing Aceh’s electricity system meant the return of electricity supply to Banda Aceh to normal conditions. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT “In accordance with the directive of President Prabowo Subianto and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, we continue to accelerate efforts to restore electricity after the Aceh disaster. Thank God, this process can go smoothly and Banda Aceh’s electricity system is now fully restored,” Darmawan said in his statement, Wednesday/202/512. Darmawan continued, after the restoration of electricity in Banda Aceh, his party continued to improve the reliability of the electricity system in the region. “Currently, we continue to monitor the electricity supply to the community as a whole as we continue to strengthen the system so that it will be more resilient in the future and minimize potential disruptions,” he said. PLN Furthermore, Darmawan said that aside from Banda Aceh, PLN is gradually continuing to restore electricity supply to customers in other areas, including places affected by floods and landslides. PLN also coordinates intensively with local governments and stakeholders to ensure that electricity services run optimally. “Our personnel continue to work to speed up (recovery) so that all areas in Aceh can fully recover. We are also on 24-hour assistance in the field to respond quickly to any possible disruption,” Darmawan concluded. PLN expressed its appreciation for the support of the community and all parties during the recovery process.
