New Delhi, October 31 (IANS). Back pain has become a very common problem these days. Working on a computer for a long time, excessive use of mobile phone or incorrect posture are the main reasons for this. In such a situation, yoga asanas help a lot in reducing back pain and strengthening the spine. First of all is Katichkrasana. It makes the spine flexible and relieves back tension. Tadasana is done while standing and improves the posture of the entire body. It helps to keep the spine straight and is also helpful in increasing height. Vakrasana stretches the lower spine and provides relief from back pain. At the same time, Shavasana completely relaxes the body, removes muscle fatigue and reduces mental stress. Ardha Shalabhasana strengthens the back and abdominal muscles and provides relief from back pain. Pawanmuktasana relaxes the stomach and middle muscles and also helps with problems like gas or indigestion. Bhujangasana strengthens the spine and reduces back, neck and shoulder problems. Marktasana makes the spine flexible and increases the strength of the body. Setubandhasana strengthens the lower back and spine and provides instant relief from back pain. Doing all these yogasanas regularly not only reduces back pain, but the posture remains correct and the circulation of energy also improves. You can start with light stretching and gradually try each asana. While doing yoga, pay attention to your breathing and take help from a yoga instructor if necessary.
