Bihar D.El.Ed Exam: The application process for D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination 2026 has been started by Bihar School Examination Board (Bihar Board) from Thursday. Students can apply online till December 24 on BSEB website https://www.bsebdeled.com for admission to 30,800 seats in 306 D.El.Ed colleges across the state. According to the examination calendar released by the examination committee, the D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination is likely to be conducted online from January 19 to February 18. The result will be released in March. The process of first, second and third merit list and nomination, option closure, seat allotment, promotion etc. for enrollment in D.El.Ed colleges will start from the last week of March. The nomination process will be completed by the end of June 2026. The new session will start in July. The examination committee said that in all the institutes, 50 percent of the total seats will be reserved for science and 50 percent for arts and commerce candidates. Remove Advertisement Read Only News 10 percent space will be reserved for Urdu subject candidates. This reservation will be applicable in the form of horizontal reservation but this reservation benefit will be available only to those candidates who have passed the Plus Two level examination with Urdu subject. As per government rules, five percent horizontal reservation out of the total sanctioned seats will be given to disabled, five percent horizontal reservation will be given to the dependent son and unmarried daughter of serving, retired, deceased, ex-serviceman employee resident of the state of Bihar. Rs 960 will have to be paid in the application form, 120 questions will be asked. To appear in the examination, general category, economically backward general category candidates, backward class and extremely backward class students will have to pay an application fee of Rs 960. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates will have to pay Rs 760. The duration of the exam will be two and a half hours. 120 objective and multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam. In the exam, 25 questions will be asked from General Hindi, Urdu, 25 from Mathematics, 20-20 questions from Science, Social Studies, General English and 10 questions from logical and analytical ability. 120 marks are fixed for 120 questions. Those candidates who have Shastri, Polytechnic, ITI or any other type of qualification will not be eligible for enrollment in D.El.Ed course, but if any candidate has obtained the qualification under Vocational course in Inter or who has obtained the qualification from Inter to Madhyamik or Inter to Faukaniya, they will be eligible for D.El.Ed course. The minimum age limit of the candidate will be 17 years (for all categories) as on 1st January 2026.
