Dialogue thread, Rajoun (Banka). Despite the strictness and continuous instructions of the government, the ground image of the health department is not improving. The conditions at the Community Health Center once again exposed the laziness and negligence of the Health Department. As the cold increases, the punctuality habits of doctors and health workers have become lax, due to which patients are directly suffering its consequences. When Jagran’s team reached CHC under the On the Spot campaign around 9 am on Wednesday, the hospital’s arrangements were found to be in shambles. By 09:30 the OPD was completely empty. Neither doctors nor departmental staff were present. The situation in the dental department also remained the same. Only emergency deployed doctors were found on duty. Medicine counters and registration counters were also opened late than scheduled, causing patients to wait in frustration. The worst condition was that of the examination room. By 9:30 a.m., patients coming for X-rays and other tests were lining up, but no technician or doctor was present. Many patients, including Rahul Kumar, resident of Rajoun, Subodh Yadav of Nawada, said that doctors and testing staff usually come here only after 10 am. This situation has become a daily occurrence. This negligence in punctuality in extreme cold further increases the problems of the patients. Said that despite clear instructions given by the District Magistrate, discipline and punctuality in CHC has not improved. As a result, anger among the patients increases.
