The district election officer said that if a businessman asks for permission to keep arms for his personal security or asks for arms permission for a security guard, then it can be given. The bodyguard of the candidate may be allowed to possess arms. It was informed in the meeting that 12,401 people in the district have been bound under Section 126, 127 of BNS. The district election officer said that the concerned sub-divisional police officer will present the evidence whether the police station-wise criminals who have been displaced from the area under CCA-3 and CCA-12 are made to attend the concerned police station or not. If the criminal does not come to the police station, he should go straight and report himself before the District Magistrate. He said that all the sub-divisional police officers will give a certificate of the fact that the criminals banished from their area register their presence in their police station area. Superintendent of Police Navgachia said that according to the Goonda register, verification of the criminals registered in the Goonda register is done every Sunday. The district election officer said that he will also verify whether any goon lives in the city or in the police station area or not. In the meeting, the Senior Superintendent of Police said that a thorough investigation must now be done at the SST point by the deputation static magistrate and the flying squad team. According to the number of teams deployed, seizure reports are not received. He said intensive investigation must now be done every day and illegal goods must be seized every day. He said the station in charge must conduct an intelligence assessment of the candidate’s activities and ensure that law and order is maintained in the area during his visit. The district election officer said that all the candidates and their convoy vehicles should also be checked. Deputy Development Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Singh, Assistant Collector Jitin Kumar and officials of the concerned cell were present in the meeting. Those marked voters, who did not vote last time, under the chairmanship of district election officer Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary, a meeting was held at Samiksha Bhawan with the concerned officials regarding the preparations for the elections. In the meeting, instructions were given to conduct voter awareness program in the areas with minimum voting percentage under SWEEP and cross verification of voter slip details. He said in the areas with minimum voting percentage, those people and classes should be identified who did not vote in the last elections. It was announced in the meeting that voter slips are being distributed. At present, 11 lakh forms are yet to be distributed and four lakh copies of voter guide booklets have been received to be made available to every family. The District Election Officer instructed to distribute Voter Information Leaflet and Water Guide by November 2. Instructions were given to ensure AMF at all polling stations. He said that a small video should be made for the polling officer on the method of filling the forms given on the polling date and the method of making EVM connection, the routine work to be done on the polling date and the method of submitting the form to the receiving center so that the polling staff can get convenience. He obtained information about their preparation from the Material Cell, Candidate Spending Cell, Model Code of Conduct Cell, Bajgraha, Vote Counting Cell.
