Cilegon – A car with plate number A-1703-RI plunged under a bridge on the South Ring Road (JLS) Cilegon, Banten. The car swerved because the driver experienced a seizure. The incident happened on Thursday (18/12/2025) around 15:30 WIB at JLS, precisely in Tegalratu, Cilegon. The driver, Asep Suwandi, was initially driving a car that was transporting one passenger from Anyer to Cilegon. “When we arrived at the crime scene, while he was driving, Asep had a seizure, then lost control to the left of the road and crashed into a shack and plunged under the bridge,” Cilegon police traffic unit chief Gakkum Iptu Atang Saepuloh said when asked. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT The vehicle Asep was riding in was wrecked and overturned after diving under the bridge. The driver and passenger were injured in the accident. “The driver sustained injuries and was taken to the Hermina Cilegon Hospital, while the passenger was taken to alternative (treatment),” he said. The vehicle involved in the accident was then taken to the Cilegon Police Traffic Police Gakkum Unit office for further investigation. (ball/wnv)
