In which 14 people have lost their lives so far and many have been injured. Many vehicles fell victim to accidents due to fog in Mathura, Baghpat, Unnao and Basti of the state. On Monday evening at around 2 o’clock, several vehicles traveling at high speed in the midst of thick fog collided with each other on the Yamuna Expressway on the stretch from Agra to Noida. Seven buses and two cars caught fire. Many people were trapped in the vehicles, some saved their lives by jumping out of the buses. So far, four people have been confirmed dead. More than two dozen injured were hospitalized. Two dead people have been identified. After this accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took notice of this heartbreaking incident. He gave instructions to the officials to provide assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family members of the deceased and give better treatment to the injured.
