State Bureau, Chandigarh. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday invited leading industrialists from Japan to invest in Punjab. On the first day of the tour, he interacted with industrialists from companies like JBIC, Ison Industry, Yamaha, Honda Motor, JICA. Describing Punjab as a preferred destination for investment, the Chief Minister said that the state is keen to enhance strategic cooperation with Japan in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy and global services. He also briefed Japanese companies on new opportunities emerging in the state. Japanese companies have also expressed their desire to invest in Punjab. The chief minister said that such investments would not only create employment opportunities for the youth but also accelerate the economic progress of the state. He assured that the state government will provide full support and cooperation to Japanese investors at every level. The Chief Minister also invited investors to attend the 6th Progressive Punjab Investor Summit to be held at ISB Mohali Campus from 13–15 March 2026. He said that this conference will provide new opportunities for partnership and investment by bringing the world’s major industries on one platform. This will pave the way for the progress of Punjab.
