The conspiracy of anti-social elements to overturn the train in Baraut area was foiled by the loco pilot with his presence of mind. An iron pipe was placed on the railway line, causing the freight train to collide. It created chaos. The train also stood there for a long time. A case has been registered over the incident. The police are scanning the CCTV camera footage so that the perpetrator of the incident can be nabbed. Remove Advertisement Only Read News Anti-social elements placed an iron pipe about 10 feet long and 3 inches thick between Baoli town and Kasimpur Khedi on Delhi-Shamli-Saharanpur road late on Wednesday evening. A goods train arrived there at 19:47. His loco pilot, Subhash Chandra, saw the pipe on the track. He immediately stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. At that time the pipe collided with the train. After this, the loco pilot picked up the pipe from the track and kept it in his cabin. The train left the place at 8.16. After this the loco pilot reached Kasimpur Khedi station and informed about the accident. Police and railway staff reached the spot and started investigation. Railway officials believed that some unknown person had placed the pipe on the track with the intention of causing a serious railway accident. This would have caused loss of life and property and the vehicle would have overturned. Meanwhile, Kasimpur Khedi Station Master Shashibhushan has filed a case against an unknown person in Baraut Kotwali under the Railway Act. On the other hand, Manoj Kumar Chahal, commanding officer of the Baraut police station, says that efforts are on to trace the person who placed the pipe on the railway line. The accused will be arrested soon.
