People arrived from rural and urban areas. The police had to work hard to maintain order. Several police contingents, along with Amarjeet Yadav, in-charge of the fair police station, and sub-inspector Raju Rai remained active in the fair area. However, despite all the vigilance of the police, looting and theft of mobile wallet could not be completely curbed. Even on the fourth Sunday, four to five people approached the police with complaints throughout the day. But the police also appeared helpless to investigate the crowd. The initial period of Dadri fair, which was organized from the day of Kartik Purnima, was quite tense. Due to delay in land allotment, administrative neglect and adverse weather conditions, it took two weeks for the fair to be fully decorated. As sales were lower than expected in the first 15 days, traders’ eyes were on the last three Sundays. The expectations of the traders were also fulfilled and the third and fourth Sundays were also pleasant for the traders due to the influx of crowd. The procession of people from rural areas started arriving at the fair from 08:00 on Sunday. Many shopkeepers opened their shops as soon as they woke up in the morning and started selling. While swings like Hammer, Dragon, Double Disc, Jammer along with swing-charchi and put of death also had to be started ahead of time after the crowd got there. The biggest crowd puller was the mermaid show. While Bombay’s special fruit ice cream was kept with the people even in the winter season. Until the last Sunday of the fair, traders make every possible effort to earn a profit. The semi-final and final match of Cricket Mahakumbh is being held at Dadri Fair for the first time. The semi-final and final match of Cricket Mahakumbh will be held today on 1st December. A total of four teams will participate in the semi-finals, leaving around 53 teams participating in the competition. District Sports Officer Jawahar Lal Yadav said that the teams of Virat XI, Veer XI, Bairiya and Mithwar achieved victory in the quarter final match of cricket held on Friday. The semi-final will be between these four teams. The two winning teams will compete in the finals. The winning team of Cricket Mahakumbh will receive a prize of Rs 21,000 and the runner-up team will receive a prize of Rs 11,000. Apart from this, Man of the Trophy will receive a reward of Rs 5100 and Man of the Bowling-Betting a reward of Rs 2100. Awards and trophies will be distributed during the closing ceremony of the fair.
