The crime branch team finally arrested the parole jumper who was serving life imprisonment under the POCSO Act in the Mayur Vihar police station area. The arrested accused has been identified as Wahid Khan of Trilok Puri, who has been absconding since September 2021 and has repeatedly changed his location to avoid arrest. Remove advertisement Read Only News The accused raped his daughter’s 13-year-old friend. The police registered the case and arrested him. After a trial, he was sentenced to life in prison in 2018. After this, he was granted parole on September 1, 2021, but he did not surrender and fled. According to Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar, Head Constable Nitin Kumar received information about the activities of accused Wahid on December 9, on which the team formed under the supervision of ACP Girish Kaushik and headed by Inspector Sandeep Swami conducted a raid and arrested the accused and sent him to Mandoli jail.
