The Delhi High Court imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the petitioner, who had filed several petitions on illegal construction, as a serial petitioner. Allegation of illegal construction in various properties: Dismissing the petition of the petitioner Hardeep Singh Hanspal, the bench of Justice Mini Pushkarna took on record that this is the fifth petition filed by the petitioner and it had alleged illegal construction in various properties even though he had no direct connection with it. The bench also said that the petitioner has already filed many such petitions but is not pursuing the matter later. Remove Advertisement Read Only News No such petition will be considered: Court The court said that after the filing of the petitions, the petitioners do not insist on the ground that the owners and tenants of the said property have themselves initiated action to remove the illegal construction. The bench said that the intention and purpose of filing petitions should be noble. The petition cannot be filed with any hidden agenda or for self interest. This Court will not entertain any petition filed for extraneous or selfish purposes. In the case of illegal construction in Rohini Sector-15, the bench imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the petitioner and directed to deposit the said amount in the account of Delhi High Court Bar Association within four weeks. Also directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to take action against illegal construction. The petitioner filed a petition against illegal construction in Rohini Sector-15.
