New Delhi, November 30 (IANS). Crime Branch of Delhi Police has finally arrested notorious criminal Vijay Sharma alias Bobby Pandit (23) from Ali Vihar. Bobby has been on the run for the past two months. He is accused of stabbing a youth Aditya Singh in the back who was returning after watching Ramlila in Ali Vihar of Sarita Vihar police station area on the night of September 28-29, 2025. The incident took place when a fight broke out on stage during the performance of Ramlila. Later, Aditya was on his way home when Bobby allegedly came from behind and stabbed him in the lower back. Seriously injured Aditya was treated and a case was registered under FIR No. 719/2025 Section 126(2)/118(1) BNS at Sarita Vihar Police Station. Bobby ran away immediately after the attack. When this case was handed over to the RK Puram Unit of the Crime Branch, the team of SI Pramod, Amit, Hemant Kumar, Mukesh Singh and other officers led by Inspector Rampal, based on continuous surveillance and intelligence inputs, raided Ali Vihar on November 28 and arrested him. During interrogation, Bobby confessed to his crime. The shocking thing is that this 23-year-old graduate youth, who works in a service station, is already a vicious criminal in the records of Delhi Police. A total of 11 cases of robbery, theft and burglary have been registered against him, most of which are from the Sarita Vihar police station. Some cases are only from this year. Arresting the accused, DCP Crime Pankaj Kumar said that the Crime Branch is constantly tightening the noose on wanted and dangerous criminals. There is a wave of relief in the area due to the arrest of habitual criminals like Bobby. Police said to avoid arrest, Bobby frequently changed residences and also kept his cell phone switched off.
