A shocking incident by Krishnarajpet (KR Pete) taluk of Mandya district of Karnataka is going viral on social media. According to a video shot by the driver himself, which was later widely shared on social media, they blocked the road and fought with the driver. Hate Detector, a social media account, shared the video and demanded immediate action against the culprits. The tweet said that drunken miscreants allegedly stopped the moving bus and forced the driver to let the class nine student get off the bus, causing panic among the children traveling in the bus. In another post, Hate Detector shared a photo citing confirmation of the incident by Mandya Police. The police said that intoxicated youths were openly creating ruckus and endangering the safety of the students. Taking cognizance of the viral video, Mandya district police said that a case has been registered at Kikkeri police station. The officials assured that such behavior will not be tolerated and strict legal action will be taken. According to online reports, the accused have been identified as Girish (20) and Kiran (20). Sources say he was under the influence of ganja at the time of the incident. They abused the manager and threatened the school staff, which scared the children. After a complaint by the private school management, both were arrested and a case was registered under various sections, including the POCSO Act.
