The Medical Station police arrested six miscreants of the transformer theft gang in an encounter while patrolling the Outer Ring Road. Two miscreants were injured by being shot in the leg during the encounter. The police recovered stolen goods, an e-rickshaw, a bicycle, two pistols and six cartridges from the possession of the injured. According to the police, the Medical Station police patrolled the area late on Thursday evening. When the police team reached the Outer Ring Road, they saw an e-rickshaw approaching. When the police signaled the e-rickshaw driver to stop, he increased the speed of the e-rickshaw and tried to turn it. When the police laid siege, the miscreants riding in the e-rickshaw opened fire on the police. When the police returned, two thugs were shot in the legs. After this, the police arrested six miscreants who were traveling in the e-rickshaw. At the same time, his associates were identified as Shabir son of Zulfkar, Shafiq son of Farmood resident of Narhera police station Lohianagar, Danish son of Vakil resident of Khushhal Colony and Monty son of Pratap resident of Piplikheda. The police recovered two pistols, six cartridges, two knives, iron blade, base channel inside the transformer, three blades single, two blades double, three pans, one rope, ten spanners and one e-rickshaw and one bicycle from the possession of the miscreants. Both the injured miscreants were admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
